What phone is better: the samsung rant or the samsung instinct for my 14 yr old daughter?
Q. my daughter wants a new phone..but she wants the instinct but i want her to get the samsung rant.the only reason she says she doesn't want the samsung rant is because most people at her school have that phone and her best friend also has that phone.Please help me i don't know what phone to get.

A. Bottom line, I think you should get her what she wants. But it's worth noting that I have the Samsung Instinct, and as time goes by, the touchscreen gets a little off, making it really difficult to text. And their calibration is worthless. Try and tell her this, and if she doesn't want to hear it, get her the Instinct and let her learn from her mistakes. Obviously you won't be buying her a second phone, it's too expensive. But even with all my touchscreen drama, I love my phone, and I'm sure she'll love hers too. Just hope she doesn't text much! Good Luck mom!

A. Hey I had the same problem, so I went to the sprintusers.com forum and I got this answer: "Make sure the resolution is set to either low, med or high. The zoom does not work when the resolution is set to 1.3M. See the note on page 104 in the user guide." Worked for me, hope it works for you!

It puts a couple extra restrictions but also adds an easy potential for games. That's the only possible difference between the two phones; Telus has exclusive firmware and colors, whereas I'm not sure if Sprint has either. GREAT phone, though. I'm with Koodo and therefor have the from-the-factory m540 (other than the default ringtone site being from Koodo), and I love it. Better than the Rumor. Solid phone. Know others with it as well, unbreakable, great battery life, many many options, easy computer integration. Get it.

I have the Samsung Rant on Sprint, which phone should I upgrade to?

A. I have the Elite, only had it for a month and so far I don't have any complaints. It really depends what you are looking for in a phone and what kind of plan you have with sprint. If you want a basic messenger phone: The Incognito and The Elite would be good candidates. I don't know to much about too much about the Incognito. But i have heard more good things about it, than bad. Here a link to the a review for it on CNET. Sanyo Incognito: The Elite is a good Messenger phone. The outer screen is a "Touchscreen" where you can look at pictures, check your email and texts and make calls( from you Contact/ Speed dial list) without opening the phone. Does this mean I can only upgrade to the Samsung Rants upgrade? If not, should I get the Sanyo Incognito? Maybe the LG Lotus Elite? Or the Samsung Moment.

A. I have the Elite, only had it for a month and so far I don't have any complaints. It really depends what you are looking for in a phone and what kind of plan you have with sprint. If you want a basic messenger phone: The Incognito and The Elite would be good candidates. I don't know to much about too much about the Incognito. But i have heard more good things about it, than bad. Here a link to the a review for it on CNET. Sanyo Incognito: The Elite is a good Messenger phone. The outer screen is a "Touchscreen" where you can look at pictures, check your email and texts and make calls( from you Contact/ Speed dial list) without opening the phone. A. Its actually not that hard. Save the pictures in your rant to the memory card folder, connect your Rant to the computer using the USB cord. Go to Tools>Mass Storage>Connect to PC. Make sure it says Connected To PC Call Disabled. Right click the Start button in the bottom left hand side of your computer. Click Explore. Scroll down and click Removable Disk (F:) Click DCIM Click 100SSMED Now you should see thumbnails of all your pictures in your phone's memory card. Click them and do whatever you'd like with them.
