Region is most commonly a geographical term that is used in various ways among the different branches of geography. In general, a region is a medium-scale area of land or water, smaller than the whole areas of interest (which could be, for example, the world, a nation, a river basin, mountain range, and so on), and larger than a specific site. A region may be seen as a collection of smaller units (as in "the New England states") or as one part of a larger whole (as in "the New England region of the United States"). Regions can be defined by physical characteristics, human characteristics, and functional characteristics. As a way of describing spatial areas, the concept of regions is important and widely used among the many branches of geography, each of which can describe areas in regional terms. For example, ecoregion is a term used in environmental geography, cultural region in cultural geography, bioregion in biogeography, and so on. The field of geography that studies regions themselves is called regional geography. In the fields of physical geography, ecology, biogeography, zoogeography, and environmental geography, regions tend to be based on natural features such as ecosystems or biotopes, biomes, drainage basins, mountain ranges, soil types, and so on. Yes, as long as you can meet the rest requirments for the pilot portion of your job.. To oversimplify a very complex rule, you have to have at least 24 hours off every 7 days, and must have a specified number of hours of rest before you can begin a flight assignment. Q. Im thinking about going to sierra college but its in rocklin, california and i live in antelope, california. How can i get ther by regional transit (a city bus) which buses or light rail do i take. please help me! Asked by LadyBugz - Tue Nov 4 12:12:33 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Ever so annoying when you want to go between THREE transit systems. Antelope is in the Sacramento Regional Transit System, and Sierra College is in Placer County Transit, with the Roseville system in between !! SO, let's start on the school's website (since they often provide directions and transit information): & To determine how to get from your location in Antelope to the Louis / Orlando Transfer Point, use this site: You next catch the Roseville "A Route" ( )from the Louis / Orlando Transit Point to the Roseville Galleria Transit Terminal where you'd catch. A Placer County Transit express bus (purple) from the Roseville Galleria / Light-rail to the Campus (taking 20 minutes): sorry this is SO Confusing !!
